Goldregen Row 66

A few pictures of Goldregen now I'm on circular needles. I've had a few problems while knitting with this silk. I lost some stitches when a needle protector popped off. Much swearing ensued while I fixed it and I accidentally snapped a thread while trying to knit 5 stitches together. I did a fix and hid the ends but if you know where to look you can see that I did something a little different to get the stitches to come together as I didn't want to put more strain where the break had been. Still, I enjoy knitting with this silk and I always love knitting a Niebling :-)

Well, I can't see it and In don't care--it's exquisite. Still in a blue mood, huh? I am still in a red mood...perhaps we should switch off soon? :)

Beautiful pattern and silk. What size is the silk?

So much cursing would ensue if that happened to me.

I bet you're the only person whose ever going to notice those imperfections. It's really gorgeous, Jane. Then again, all of your work is.

Really lovely! You tempt me to vist Habu. Was the yarn difficult to wind? Your work is amazing, as usual.

Dear fleegle,

I'm still in a blue mood but I have some of that Japanese Maple Red that I might break into soon! At least I hide my mistakes well LOL

Dear Helen,

Thank you! I think this pattern is stunning. I've wanted to knit it for some time now so I'm happy this silk is working out :-)

Dear Anon,

Terry is that you? I can't wait to see how it comes out as well but it's slow going as the rows get longer and longer. Still, I really think it will be worth the wait :-)

Dear Denise,

The bellyband says it's 21d / 10x2 I think it might be close to a size 80 tatting cotton? As for the swearing, it was good there were no children around to hear me!

Dear Lisa,

Thanks! I love how this silk is knitting up.

Dear Littleberry,

I think you can only find the mistake by turning it over to find the knot (yeah, I used a knot for this slippery stuff). I love the color, but I actually love all the colors in this silk LOL

Dear Opal,

Thank you! It's true that no one who has ever received any of my lace has complained about any of my errors so I guess they don't matter that much.

Dear badcatdesigns,

Thank you :-)I live on the West Coast and got my silk at Stitches West or I would have had it wound on a cone. As it was, I had to cut the silk half way through winding it into a ball because it was so tangled it would not come loose. It hated winding this stuff! I ordered more silk by calling Habu and had them wind it into cones. it was worth the extra fee to have them do it for me!If I was out that way I would make a point of going to look at Habu. Must be very interesting :-)

Dear Carol,

So glad you can't see the "fix". You can see it on the flip slide I assure you. All you have to do is slide your hand over the back to feel the place where I had to knot the silk :-( Still, it's a small quibble on my part. It's really a pretty pattern!
